And now, for some Friday randomness!

First things first: for those who are interested in my virtual group intuitive and mindful eating program, we just opened sign ups for the next LIVE version of the 6 week program, which will begin on April 2. You have until next Thursday to sign up if you are interested in joining us in April! It won’t be offered again as a live program until late this year or early next year, so don’t wait if you are interested. (Not feeling the live program? We have a cheaper self-study option, too!)

On the fitness front, I’m enjoying a rest day today in preparation for tomorrow’s last long run gearing up for the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler next weekend! I’m planning on doing another 8 miler since I skipped last weekend’s long run due to my New Mexico travels.

As for yesterday, after getting up really early for boot camp workouts on Tuesday and Wednesday I was feeling the sleeping in a bit more than I was my track workout – lucky for me, Matt expressed interest in getting in a run, so we headed out around 7:30 for a short jaunt before work. Nice to get that extra hour of sleep! We kept the pace super casual because we did a really hilly route – oof!


I decided I’m going to run the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler for “fun” rather than trying to race it this year – my training hasn’t been where it would need to be for me to try to PR, and to be honest, I’m just not feeling it right now – I’d rather just get out there and enjoy it. So that’s what I’m going to do! Just FYI in case you were wondering why I was bailing on track workouts a week and a half out from a race I talked awhile ago about trying to PR. 🙂

Food highlights from this week included last night’s dinner – my in-laws were in town (my mother-in-law has a work conference here this weekend) and I decided to whip up my Asian Sheet Pan Salmon with Veggies for everyone. It ended up being two sheets instead of one sheet – love all those veggies!

It was a hit! Love this recipe – so easy and yummy. I made the sauce earlier in the day so all I had to do when my in-laws arrived was throw everything on the pan and drizzle the sauce over it before baking – easy! Plus some microwave plain brown rice:

Our other favorite dinner this week was this sun basket (<- affiliate link for 3 free meals) chicken dish – the artichoke, olive, and nut tapenade was soooo good, and so was the seared romaine!

I also had some fun meals out on Wednesday – I met my friend Karen for breakfast after my early boot camp class and before heading to my volunteer teaching gig. We hit up our old friend Le Pain Quotidien – their omelettes always hit the spot! And as always, I loved the time to catch up with my good friend, too. 🙂

Post-teaching I treated myself to lunch at Glen’s Garden Market in Dupont. As usual, I had their mix and match prepared foods plate. I was in the mood for all veggie this time, so I had the kale apple salad, the cucumber tomato salad, the chickpea carrot salad, and the miso ginger sweet potatoes. Yummy, filling vegetarian combo! Plus a local Capital Kombucha (strawberry flavor – yum):

Also, if you want a laugh, this New Yorker post about emails entitled “Sorry for the Delayed Response” is soooo good. And so true!

Time to wrap up the workweek! My grad school friend Lauren is coming into town for a visit and I can’t wait for a fun girl’s weekend. She’s staying through Monday – I’m planning to be back with a weekend recap on Monday, but if I disappear and come back Tuesday instead, you’ll know why. 🙂
