Recent Eats

Hi guys! Thank you so much for all the tips and advice regarding yesterday’s post about the hip/lower back/glute pain I’ve been having lately related to pregnancy. I appreciate the advice, and I just made an appointment for an assessment next week with a local PT that specializes in women’s health. Hoping she can help – fingers crossed!

In the meantime, I’m working from my standing desk as much as possible (until my feet hurt, anyway…) and also treating myself to a yoga class over lunch today. Sitting for long periods of time certainly doesn’t help the situation!

Anyway! Recent eats. I’m still obsessed with eggs. I love eggs normally, but we appear to be having a serious moment recently. Yesterday for lunch I was working from home and decided to do brunch – we had some leftover bacon and green pepper/potato hash that Matt made over the weekend, so I paired that with two fried eggs and some microwave wilted spinach that you can see peeking out under there too. Yum!

I’m also loving meatballs lately – I know, random – we had these amazing lamb meatballs (via Sun Basket – affiliate link for 3 free meals) earlier this week. The tahini sauce really made them! It reminded me that we need to make our Greek Lamb Burgers (<- recipe) again soon… one of my all-time faves and so easy! Sorry for the dim/slightly blurry photo – it was dark out when we ate!

Keeping this short and sweet today – time to get back to it. See you guys back here tomorrow!

p.s. For those of you who were also horrified by what happened in Charlottesville over the weekend, but who can’t get out there in person to protest, I wanted to share a link to an article about organizations supporting the fight against white nationalism and racism in Charlottesville to keep in mind for donations. If you have any other helpful resources/links to share, please do so in the comments. We have the choice, every moment of every day, to act with kindness and love rather than hate. I hope you’ll take a moment today to spread some love in your own way, however small – it always makes a difference, and together our actions will add up to big change. xo
